The mission of Springfield First United Methodist Church is to love God and love people, so that the Gospel is shared and disciples are shaped. We fulfill this mission through worship, nurture, service, and learning that grows us in Christlikeness and demonstrates Christ to the world around us. But to do so, it takes all of us--every person--listening for God's guidance to find and step into the places where God calls us.

Whatever it is we do, we're to do for the Lord. And scripture tells us that it's God's Spirit who gifts us with the things we need to accomplish what God sends us toward.
